Not just a “custom home builder”

I want to personally welcome you to Blakecraft Construction. It’s a sincere claim that building has been a passion my entire adult life. Fresh out of high school, I went to work as a carpenter’s apprentice and was fascinated with the process of taking a pile of construction materials and creating something that would be used in everyday life.

I then took a job with a remodeling company in Houston, TX. Here I honed an attention to detail while working in distinguished homes for discriminating clientele in River Oaks and Bellaire. I loved creating with a tool belt on my hip, taking an old structure and making it better than it was when new. I quickly realized that I was just as concerned about the quality of our finished projects as our clients. I was hooked, and ready for the next challenge.

Next, I went to work for a custom homebuilder, where I went through the ranks from hired hand, to scheduling trades, to the lead project manager. Through the recession of 2008, I was the last employee standing. The benefit of starting from the bottom and working alone was that I became intimately familiar with the homebuilding process from conception to completion.

So, with a hefty dose of desire and a thorough breadth of experience, I started Blakecraft Construction in 2008. We started with a handful of small projects, but have been fortunate and grown year after year. Now we have the pleasure to work on remarkable homes for remarkable people.

We feel that Blakecraft is a not just a “custom home builder”. The most important factor in building a truly custom home is service. As such, we run our business as if it were a professional services company. We are dedicated to providing our clients with a world-class customer service experience.

In short, I’m blessed to do what I love, and I don’t take it lightly that we are entrusted with the construction of someone’s dream, and often their largest investment. I want every client to be just as excited about their home at the end of the project as they were on the first day we break ground. For me, this means building relationships, not just clients.
